Using a Friction Call
Leave a space between the bottom of the call and your hand. Put your hand that you are holding the striker with on the top side of the call. It is important that you give this hand support. It will give you more control of the striker.
Put the tip of the striker on the surface of the call. The striker should be held at a 45 degree angle. Do not grip the striker or call tightly.
To Yelp -
You want to make 1/2 moon circles with the tip of the striker and bring the striker tip straight back, always leaving the tip of the striker on the surface of the call.
To Cluck -
With the striker at the same angle, just snap the tip of the stiker toward you with a little downward pressure and as with the yelp, always leave the tip on the surface of the call.
To Cutt -
Do exactly the same movements with the stiker as you would with the cluck but you must speed it up. That will add the intensity that a hen will have as she cutts.
To Purr-
With the tip of the striker on the surface of the call, all you want to do is drag the tip across the surface of the call causing it to skip or vibrate . This will simulate the purr of the hen.
