 Hello, my name is Mark McLaughlin and I would like to start with a little background about myself and the calls I make. I developed the turkey hunting "disease" 19 years ago. I was amazed that these birds actually have a language and that they communicated with each other. Every call has a meaning behind it. I decided I had to build turkey pens and get some of these birds to "study" their language. Since then, I have had turkeys for 13 years and believe that is how I developed my ear for true authentic turkey talk.
I started making turkey calls in 1990 but didn't market or sell them until the spring of 1999. I have a band saw mill custom cut my lumber for wood grain. Each call starts as rough cut lumber and are made in my shop. These calls are not a kit that is simply assembled. After each call is made, I will run the call before it is packaged for sale.
If I would not take the call hunting myself - I will not package it.
I want a person to have confidence that the call they are going to purchase has that true authentic turkey sound right out of the package.
